OPEN Friday November 27th 1 pm to 5 pm for the downtown Lighting Ceremony.
The Coeur d'Alene Carousel is open seasonally May through September. May & September weekends, June - August 7 days a week. Full time operation commences when school is out, generally the first week of June. Hours of operation are 10 am to 5 pm Monday - Saturday, Sundays 12 pm to 5 pm.
The carousel is also open for special community events such as Halloween & the day after Thanksgiving for the lighting ceremony. Watch Facebook for the most up to date special openings.
$2 to Ride
Ride tokens are $2 each. Children under 42" tall ride with an accompanying adult, just one token for both. Tokens are purchased from a token machine which takes Credit/Debit cards or exact change.
Size/Weight Limit
The carousel is a children's size 1922 Spillman Junior portable carnival carousel. To protect the antique carousel and prevent additional damage there is a 200 pound weight limit. Adults riding must step on the pony/chariot scale which will determine whether they can ride a pony or a chariot bench. The scale shows no numbers only a pony or chariot.
Non-Profit
The Coeur d'Alene Carousel is owned and operated by The Coeur d'Alene Carousel Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit. All maintenance and operation costs are paid by the Foundation through ridership, adoptions, sponsorships, grants, tile etchings and donations. The carousel is managed by a volunteer board. Seasonal operation is run with a few paid staff and a group of committed volunteers.
