Size/Weight Limit

The carousel is a children's size 1922 Spillman Junior portable carnival carousel.  To protect the antique carousel and prevent additional damage there is a 175 pound weight limit. Adult size riders must step on the pony/chariot scale which will determine whether they can ride a pony or move to a chariot bench or stand.  The scale shows no numbers only a pony or chariot.

Non-Profit

The Coeur d'Alene Carousel is owned and operated by The Coeur d'Alene Carousel Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit.  All maintenance and operation costs are paid by the Foundation through ridership, adoptions, sponsorships, grants, tile etchings and donations.  The carousel is managed by a volunteer board.  Seasonal operation is run with a few paid staff and a group of committed volunteers.
